Milliner Nick Smith is, literally, a man of many hats. The British designer has dabbled in many fields, taking the stage as an author, musician, actor and socialite in the past, and now he’s taking his role as a philanthropist quite seriously. At this week’s Rock Runway: War of Love Tour we get to see him don several of these hats at once as he plays host to an evening of fashion and music to support the Hamilton Smith Foundation, a nonprofit he co-created to benefit children with cancer. Hitting the catwalk will be high-end fashion paired with performances from NIQUE, DJ SC, Studio 74’s dance crew and the Dallas Pride Cheer Squad. Sunday you can catch the Rock Runway: War of Love Tour as it makes a first stop at the McKinney Performing Arts Center at the Historic Collin County Courthouse, 111 N. Tennessee St., at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and available through the Emerson Box Office, 214-544-4630. Visit waroflovetour.com.
Sun., March 18, 6:30 & 8:30 p.m., 2012
