Illicit teacher-student relationships are all the rage these days, whether it’s creepy pedo guys hitting on helpless teenage girls or hot MILFs sleeping with football players. Yawn. So cliché. Love affairs are on their way out, anyway. Tormented master and protégé relationships, however, are so hot right now, like in Collected Stories, the latest production from Second Thought Theatre. The play, about an aging author and her student, runs Thursday through September 14 at the Water Tower Theatre, 15650 Addison Road in Addison. Shows are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday, September 7 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $19 to $30. Visit WaterTowerTheatre.org.
Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sun., Sept. 7, 2 p.m. Starts: Aug. 28. Continues through Sept. 14, 2008
