Kids say the darnedest things. They’re funny without even trying, even if what’s funny is also what gets them grounded from time to time. But that combination of funny/naughty is what comedy careers are built on. The Addison Improv’s School of Comedy takes young comics and helps them hone their skills, ensuring that behind some well-deserved groundings is a laughing parent. We could all learn a thing or two from that class. Check out the showcase, and take notes for your grown-up self. The School of Comedy Showcase is at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Addison Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road. Admission is $10. Call 972-404-8501 or visit addisonimprov.com.
