There will be people watching at Private Social tonight. A private VIP party planned as a precursor to tomorrow’s grand opening, promises a red carpet and a number of local and National stars. Tony Romo and his wife are listed as attendees, confirming collapsed lung-age is no big thing–if he actually shows. Top Chef stars Ed Cotton, Arnold Myint, Kevin Sbraga, Angelo Sosa and Carla Hall will be there as well.
The event will likely be Tiffany Derry’s last opportunity to party it up before her kitchen holds her captive, and Dallas descends to check out what is probably one of the most anticipated restaurant openings in some time.
The Dallas business journal reports investors are interested in the Private Social model. In addition to running the show here, Derry may find herself consulting on subsequent openings across the country. Confident considering the restaurant hasn’t served up anything but PR hype as of yet.
Derry, known most for her appearance on Top Chef, joins bar manager Rocco Milano, who recently left the Mansion at Turtle Creek to oversee the beverage program at Private Social. The restaurant features an exclusive dining space with a full-service menu, and lounge area with sharable plates.
