People love or hate the word “metroplex.” It’s easier than listing the many towns surrounding Dallas. But, then those towns lose some of their identity. Your Dallas: Carrollton Connections spotlights our neighbors to the north in an exhibit that includes nineteenth century documents, displays of Josey Rancho and the Blanton Grain Company, and hundreds of photographs, including the catastrophic 1908 flood. Carrollton Connections Family Day on January 24 features $4 general admission, performances, talks and demonstrations. Carrollton Connections runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m daily, Friday through May 10 at the Old Red Museum, 100 S. Houston St. Admission is $5 to $8. Call 214-745-1100 or visit OldRed.org.
