I do it. You do it. I bet even your grandma does it. No, not that! Geez. Get your mind out of the gutter. I’m talking about SSCS–secret shame celebrity stalking. Yes, I get pleasure out of knowing that Lindsay Lohan is a ticking time bomb and Hayden Panettiere’s new haircut makes her look like a 40-year-old cougar. I admit that I scan the tabloid covers during my daily 7-Eleven trips. I even have my mental alarm set to turn the television channel to the E! network every night at 10, because that’s when something special happens. Chelsea Lately comes on, and I can watch Chelsea Handler and her round table of comedians say exactly what I’m thinking about the hot mess that is Hollywood celebrity. The show doesn’t try to hold in the sarcasm while reporting that Jessica Simpson is now enemies with Martha Stewart or that Katie Holmes has orange hands from some weird Scientology treatment. This Saturday the comedians of Chelsea Lately (sans Chelsea, but plus her oompa loompa sidekick, Chuy) will take the stage at House of Blues (2200 N. Lamar St.) with their celebrity bashing and self-deprecating comedy. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 800-745-3000.
