The Jewish Community Center of Dallas’ annual film festival is one of the smaller jewels in the DFW’s cinematic crown. It may not take up as much real estate as the USA Film Festival or the Dallas International Film Festival but it still sparkles when the light shines upon it. This year’s Jewish Film Festival of Dallas will screen five films in four locations across the city including a critically acclaimed 2013 true story called Run Boy Run about a nine-year-old boy from Poland who flees to the woods to escape the SS but must return to the so-called civilized world in the midst of a harsh winter. The movie will be screened at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Spring Valley Studio Movie Grill, 13933 N. Central Expressway. Tickets to individual screenings are $11 and available at jccdallas.org.
