It seems as if the thing to do these days is host excessively diverse art parties. Well, basically, the people at Dallas Fashion Art were throwing progressive art events before they were cool. This year’s Dallas Fashion Art part art event part fundraiser party’s theme is ‘Man as Machine.’ What to expect? Well we’re not exactly sure but we know some of the city’s best multimedia artists will be making appearances, art will be on the walls, designers will be dressing models and, this is a party, so there will probably be alcohol. Oh, and all of this somehow falls within the theme that is explained like this: “How the ‘Life Force’ is pushing our direction and the current paradigm shift of the internet era in terms of ‘schema’ and Man’s relationship to it.”Pretty deep for a party but it benefits a local charity called Family Gateway.
