In times of trouble people turn to religion, and if you find yourself in the mood for a little religious shopping (and some pretty cool music) then head to the Global Sacred Music Celebration at the Unity Church in Dallas. It’s one of those international cultural festivals, except instead of sampling stinky tofu (bad idea) and baba ghanoush, you’re presented with a sampling of world music (with the religions as sort of unassuming dipping sauces). There’ll be a variety of musical performances including step dancing, Hindu temple music and Native American dances. So put on your Sunday clothes (or not) and head on down. The concert starts at 4 p.m., and Unity Church is located at 6525 Forest Lane. Tickets are $10 (adults) and $5 (children 12 to 18), with ages 12 and younger admitted free. Visit the dfwinternational.org for more information.
