We’ve yet to see the 2006 Thai film Dynamite Warrior (AKA Kon fai bin), but we think several such warriors might have been active in our neighborhood on the evening of July the 4th, illegal or no. The film, however, follows Jone Bang Fai—a young warrior with a knack for rocketry and kicking ass—as he pursues a tattooed fellow named Nai Hoi Sing (whom he believes offed his parents) and fights to return some stolen water buffalo to a band of poor working farmers. Somewhere in the midst of this pursuit, Mr. Bang joins forces with a guy named Lord Waeng and finds out the only way to take down this tattooed dude is to procure the menstrual blood of a fine young virgin named E’Sao. So, if you’ve ever wanted to see a synthesis of Ong Bak, City Slickers, October Sky and Porky’s on the big screen, this is the film for you.
