Sometimes all of life seems like a circus. One minute, you’re taming proverbial lions; the next, you’re playing the role of World’s Strongest Man. Seems there’s never enough time for clowning around, though, which is why it never hurts to let a little spectacle take a load off. The Circus Spectacular is in town with your peanuts, your popcorn and much-needed ballyhoo. Get your gillies together for the 7 p.m. performance at the Mesquite Arena, 1818 Rodeo Drive, on Monday. Ringmaster Michelle Audrey presides over the big top during performances from amazing aerialists, breathtaking big cats, majestic elephants, plenty of carousing clowns, plus the wacky and wonderfully weird Georgettes Musical Experience. Get there early for face-painting, elephant and pony rides and extra circus magic starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets to the big show are $18 for adults and $14 for children ages 3 to 12.
