While breakfast with a ballerina might have appealed to me as a plump, naïve child, as a zaftig, world-wise woman, it terrifies me. I like to chow down in the morning, and who can do that comfortably while seated with a sinewy, 99-pound ballet dancer? Good thing this event is for kids, whose self-image has not yet been crushed by Gisele Bündchen and Anna Kournikova. Besides the brunch prepared by Wolfgang Puck Catering, kids will also do a “ballerina craft activity” and hear a reading from The Nutcracker. Find out what ballerinas eat on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Nasher Sculpture Center, 2001 Flora St. Cost is $55 for non-members. For reservations, call 214-242-5152.
Sat., Dec. 23, 9-11 a.m.
