This year marks the 85th year of the Rockettes, and to celebrate they’ve created an all-new stage show with more adjectives than ever before! “High-energy, tap-infused!” “Precision dance techniques!” “Show-stopping choreography!” It all begins when a 50-foot LED screen transports the audience to Times Square and Santa’s Workshop where the Christmas Spectacular takes place. Fan favorites like “The Twelve Days of Christmas” remain, but this year’s production has added new scenes like “New York at Christmas,” featuring a life size double-decker tour bus, and “Let Christmas Shine,” wherein the Rockettes sparkle in costumes featuring more than 3,000 crystals. At the end of the show the audience is invited to sing along to “Joy to the World,” but let’s hold off on the flick kicks, m’kay? See The Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes at Verizon Theater, 1001 Performance Place in Grand Prairie. Showtimes for Sunday are 11 a.m., 2, 5 and 8 p.m. Tickets range from $19.95 to $125. To purchase them or learn more, visit verizontheatre.com.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 24. Continues through Dec. 8, 2012
