If there’s one thing pugs love, it’s costumes. No wait, that’s Beggin’ Strips. Well, if there’s one thing humans love, it’s cramming those wrinkly pups into crazy outfits. And with that, we wish you a Happy Pug-O-Ween. Much like the name implies, Pug-O-Ween is a Halloween-Pug hybrid event filled with pug costume contests, pug races and even a foster pug parade. You can enter your pug in the costume contest, which is divided by age group and yes, there’s a category for group costume. Pug “Thriller” anyone? Pug races are also open to the public, and if you don’t currently have a pug to call your own, troll around through the foster parade. Finally, there will be a massive silent auction at which one lucky bidder will leave with a permanent pug tattoo donated by Dallas Tattoo. Get in on this adorable event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Grapevine Convention Center (1209 S. Main St., Grapevine). Tickets are $7 and are on sale now at dfwpugs.com.
