If you’re interested in attending the Pearls & Purses Luncheon at Victory Tavern, you probably have a few questions. Like, one: Do you have to own pearls? No. Naked necks are welcome. Two: Do you have to own a purse? No. A fannypack will suffice. In fact, you can bid on a purse at the event. Three: Say that last part again? Gladly. The P&P Luncheon is a fundraiser for the Ina Mae Green Foundation, an organization that offers aid to victims of domestic violence. At the luncheon, attendees will be able to bid on new and gently used designer purses. Yes. Designer. Real ones, too, like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Coach to name a few. Also, a delicious meal, guest speakers and more. It all happens noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Victory Tavern, 2501 N. Houston St. Tickets are donation based and can be purchased at inamaegreene.org.
