Not to get all po-mo on you, but half the satisfaction of indulging in Dallas native Harry Hunsicker’s latest thriller, Crosshairs, is savoring the delicious weirdness of the fact that its protagonist is Lee Oswald, a former private dick and Gulf War I vet who, in aiding his femme fatale, stumbles onto a government conspiracy. Of course, it’s also fun to recognize the Dallas neighborhoods and haunts Oswald traverses. Hunsicker launches his well-reviewed book 7 p.m. Friday at Studio 2600 Art Gallery, 2600 Hibernia St. Visit harryhunsicker.com.
