The Cotton Bowl Classic may be moving to Arlington, and sure, the Red River Shootout might follow them someday, but good riddance—that just means more fried cookie dough for us and the boys from Grambling and Prairie View A & M. After all, the State Fair Classic, or as we like to call it, the Band Bowl, has by far the most entertaining halftime show of the three games. A certain President with a penchant for blowing sax even called Grambling’s squad the “best band in the land,” though we think Prairie View A & M can certainly give them a run for their money. See for yourself when the game kicks off 6 p.m. Saturday at the Cotton Bowl. Tickets are $25 and include State Fair admission. Visit ticketmaster.com.
